I'm Mervin Nguyen, a Firmware Engineer at Zoox, the autonomous vehicle company. My day job is writing software that runs on real hardware in the real world, where "it usually works" isn't good enough.
I started Mervin's Web Studio to give small businesses and independent professionals that same level of care. When you work with me, you work with me directly: no agency hand-offs, no account managers, no waiting a week for a reply. I hold a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UC Irvine and I'm completing an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at CU Boulder. I'm based in San Mateo and work with clients across the Bay Area and beyond.
Outside of work, I'm usually on the golf course, at the bowling alley, or competing in professional pool tournaments. Pool taught me what good web work takes too: patience, precision, and planning three shots ahead. And when it's time to recharge, you'll find me on a tropical island somewhere.
